Description

The ADI-2 DAC is a two-channel digital-to-analogue converter derived from the ADI-2 Pro, with the studio-oriented features replaced by hi-fi-oriented ones. It accepts PCM up to 768 kHz and DSD, including Direct DSD, and works as a class-compliant USB device. The S/PDIF input signal can also be recorded over USB, so it behaves as a full-duplex two-channel audio interface.

Analogue output is provided on balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA, with four hardware output reference levels. Two front-panel headphone outputs are fitted: a high-power 6.3 mm output and a separate low-noise IEM output with near-zero output impedance. DSP processing covers bass, treble, loudness, a five-band parametric EQ and crossfeed.

The unit has a SteadyClock FS clock circuit for low jitter, an AutoDark mode that switches off the display and button lighting after 10 seconds, and a supplied remote control with four programmable keys. Power comes from an external 12 V DC supply.
