Description

The RH-A7 is an open-type dynamic headphone built around a 40 mm driver. It is aimed at digital piano practice, where a wide dynamic range matters for conveying everything from soft pianissimo to loud fortissimo. The wide range also makes it usable for general audio playback.

The open-air construction keeps the ears ventilated and lets the wearer hear outside sound, such as a teacher's instructions between takes. The body is lightweight at 200 g without the cord, with a breathable, secure-fit design and soft suede-finish earpads intended for extended playing sessions.

Connection is by a 3 m cord ending in a gold-plated stereo mini plug, with a supplied adapter from mini plug to 1/4-inch phone plug, so it fits both portable sources and the standard headphone outputs on digital pianos. Impedance is 34 ohms and sensitivity is 97 dB/mW. Optional 7.5 m extension cables in 1/4-inch and 1/8-inch versions are listed for longer reach.
