VAD507

The VAD507 is a five-piece electronic kit built around full-depth, full-diameter wood shells in a Midnight Sparkle wrap, mounted on double-braced chrome stands. It has a 14-inch digital snare, 10-inch and 12-inch rack toms, a 14-inch floor tom, a 20-inch kick, a 12-inch digital hi-hat, 14-inch and 16-inch crash cymbals and an 18-inch digital ride. Mesh heads have adjustable tension, and the kick is designed to move air inside the shell for a more acoustic response.

Sounds come from the updated TD-27 module, which carries 75 preset kits, including 10 new ones, and uses Prismatic Sound Modeling and PureAcoustic Ambience Technology. It offers layering, parallel compression, transient shaping, EQ, reverb and delay. Users can load their own WAV samples from an SD card, and a Coach mode with practice functions is built in.

The module has stereo mix outputs and two assignable direct outputs for a PA mixer. A built-in 28-channel USB audio interface and MIDI over USB and dedicated I/O cover computer recording. Bluetooth audio streaming lets players play along with music from a phone or laptop, and three auxiliary trigger inputs allow the kit to be expanded.
