Mopho is a small desktop monophonic synth with a fully analog signal path. Its voice has two oscillators, a switchable 2- or 4-pole Curtis low-pass filter that self-oscillates in 4-pole mode, analog VCAs, three envelope generators, four LFOs, a white noise source and a gated 16 x 4 step sequencer with an arpeggiator. Each oscillator has its own sub-octave generator, one octave or two octaves down.
An audio input lets external sources run through the filter and envelopes, and the synth's own output can be fed back before the filter with programmable level and gain, for effects from mild distortion to harsh feedback. The Push It button triggers a note by hand, latches notes and sequences, or steps through a sequence without a keyboard. Four Assignable Parameters knobs can be set differently for each program.
All parameters are reachable from the front panel, and 384 programs are stored in three banks of 128. It takes notes over MIDI from a controller or sequencer, and a free editor for Mac OS and Windows is available. Audio goes out through two 1/4" outputs and a headphone jack.
