Description
This is a Squier Affinity Series bass built on the Jaguar Bass shape. It has a thin, lightweight poplar body with a gloss polyurethane finish, and a 32" (813 mm) medium scale that sits between the 34" length of Jazz and Precision basses and the 30" length of short-scale models.
The maple neck has a slim C-shaped profile with a satin urethane finish, a 9.5" (241 mm) fingerboard radius, 20 medium jumbo frets, a synthetic bone nut 1.5" (38.1 mm) wide and a head-adjust truss rod. The fingerboard is Indian laurel or maple, depending on the colour option. Vintage-style open-gear tuning machines and disc string trees complete the headstock hardware.
The electronics are a single Squier ceramic humbucking pickup in the bridge position, voiced at Fender, with a master volume and a master tone control and no switching. The bridge is a 4-saddle standard type with chrome hardware, and the bass comes strung with nickel-plated steel strings (.045-.105). It is a passive instrument with no onboard preamp or digital connections.
