DF8
The CPM DF-8 is a 42 HP Eurorack-format dynamic analog multi-filter with two filter channels, envelopes, VCAs, noise sources, sample-and-hold and a PT2399 delay. It suits synth users who want a portable, patchable sound-design and effects box.

The DF-8 combines two analog filter channels, each with eight filter types. These include four 12 dB/oct filter modes (low-pass, band-pass, high-pass and notch) based on a proprietary design, a 24 dB/oct low-pass based on the classic 2045 filter, and three hybrid 12/24 dB/oct modes (BP+, Notch+ and Bandstop+).
Beyond filtering, each channel has an ADSR envelope with four trigger modes (gate in, audio threshold, autorepeat and manual), a VCA with envelope inverter, and a white noise source. The unit also includes a sample-and-hold modulation source with adjustable slew, a vintage PT2399 delay with modulation, a 3-into-1 mixer, three envelope depth attenuverters and four bypass switches.
Connections are made through 14 modular patch points on 3.5 mm jacks, and a built-in 2 W speaker allows it to be used standalone. It runs from six AA batteries or an external 12 V, 1000 mA centre-positive supply. Side ribs on the enclosure let several CPM units be locked together, and the panel fits a Eurorack case.
