The QCI 6DC is an in-ceiling loudspeaker built around a single 150 mm (6.00") Tannoy Dual Concentric driver with Omnimagnet technology. The high-frequency driver sits at the centre of the bass/mid-range cone, which gives a point-source behaviour, improved time coherence, controlled dispersion and a wider listening sweet spot. The cone is glass fibre with a high-excursion rubber surround, and the unit can take up to 280 W.
A Torus Ogive Waveguide expands the wavefront quickly to improve high-frequency directivity and image placement. The QCI range shares its sonic character across models, so several can be combined in stereo, surround or multi-room setups.
For installation, the speaker has a very thin bezel and a single integrated body with a self-aligning clamping system. Both round and square baffles are supplied. The powder-coated, perforated, UV-resistant steel mesh grille keeps out dust and can be removed and painted to match the room.
