CD-X1700

The CD-X1700 is a dual CD player from Tascam's DJ range, aimed at professional mobile and club use. It consists of a 19-inch main unit and a separate 19-inch remote control unit that carries the player controls. It plays CD-R/RW discs and MP3-encoded discs, with continuous play, single play and program play of up to 30 tracks.

For performance it provides seamless looping, three hot start/cue points, reverse playback, scratch, brake and auto cue, plus a 10-second sampler on each controller side. Pitch ranges are +/-0, 8, 16, 32 and 100%, with Key Original (master tempo) available on every range. Tempo can be counted automatically with a TAP key. A multi-DSP effects section (filter, flange, echo) can be synced to BPM, and an anti-shock memory protects playback from vibration.

On the output side, the player provides a digital output and the TT-M1 "Turntable Magic" output. Fader start is supported for use with compatible mixers. The model has been discontinued; an owner's manual insert dated 2007-07-20 is listed as documentation.
