Iridium Keyboard is a 16-voice, duo-timbral synthesizer built around the Waldorf Quantum engine, so patches can be exchanged with Quantum in both directions. Each of its three oscillators offers five models: Wavetable, Waveform (virtual analogue), Particle (sampling and granular), Resonator and Kernels, where one oscillator becomes up to six FM-linked sub-oscillators. Two digital filters per voice, a Digital Former section, six envelopes, six LFOs and a Komplex Modulator feed a 40-slot Mod Matrix.
The keybed is a 49-key Fatar TP/8SK with semi-weighted keys and polyphonic aftertouch, and the synth also handles MPE. The front panel follows a one-knob-per-function layout, supported by a touchscreen that shows the selected page. Six programmable Macro buttons sit next to the pitch and mod wheels. An arpeggiator and a step sequencer of up to 32 steps are included, along with a Favorites screen for quick patch recall.
Connections include two TS outputs and two TS inputs, a headphone output with gain control, DIN MIDI In/Out/Thru, USB Type B for computers and USB Type A for storage or controllers, and a microSD slot. Four CV inputs plus Gate, Trigger and Clock In/Out allow integration with modular gear. The unit has 2GB of user sample flash memory.
